驴Qu茅 es la Reconciliaci贸n?

En un art铆culo anterior, definimos y explicamos qu茅 es una backtranslation. Hoy corresponde elucidar qu茅 es una reconciliaci贸n y un informe de reconciliaci贸n.

Durante la reconciliaci贸n (en ingl茅s reconciliation), el material original se compara con la backtranslation o traducci贸n inversa con el fin de detectar problemas donde el significado es confuso o su sentido pueda diferir ligeramente. Mediante la reconciliaci贸n, se hacen modificaciones y ajustes necesarios para optimizar la traducci贸n final.

Despu茅s de realizar una traducci贸n inversa, se genera un informe que resume todos los elementos que podr铆an ser problem谩ticos. Este “Informe de Reconciliaci贸n” (en ingl茅s Reconciliation Report)聽indica聽 todas las diferencias o posibles discrepancias donde el sentido es confuso o difiere sensiblemente del original.

Aunque聽algunos matices en el lenguaje pueden ser aceptables, durante la reconciliaci贸n se identifican y corrigen las discrepancias o diferencias de significado. Cuando se encuentran discrepancias, se rastrea exactamente c贸mo y d贸nde ocurrieron y qu茅 medidas (si las hay) deber铆an adoptarse para pulirlas. Los Project Managers pueden consultar a los traductores originales para hacer ajustes en la traducci贸n.

Tras repetir el proceso con cada una de las discrepancias o divergencias de sentido,聽el resultado es una traducci贸n reconciliada que est谩 optimizada en cuanto a la exactitud y la equivalencia de significado.

Finalmente, se presenta un Informe Final de Reconciliaci贸n con la traducci贸n optimizada y reconciliada. Este informe explica las discrepancias (como errores de traducci贸n, diferencias culturales, etc.) que fueron descubiertas en la traducci贸n directa (forward translation)聽mediante la realizaci贸n de la inversa (o backtranslation)聽 y c贸mo fueron abordados.
